This Privacy Policy explains how Daverion Digital KLG ("we", "us") processes personal data in connection with the website quizgpt.site and the QuizGPT browser extension.

2. Data we process

• Account data: email address and a secure password hash for authentication, as well as the verification code sent to your email during registration.
• Usage data: quiz attempt/request counts, subscription status, and technical logs as needed for limits, Premium/Ultra access, and reliability.
• Payment data: billing is handled by Stripe. We store your Stripe customer and subscription IDs — not your full card details.
• Quiz content: the questions and answer options of the quiz you are playing, sent to our servers to generate answers.
• Support: name, email, and message if you contact us.
• Extension settings: preferences (e.g. Highlight, Auto-click, Answer Delay, Incognito Mode) stored in your browser via Chrome storage.

QuizGPT does not permanently store quiz content on our servers. Quiz content is processed as needed to provide the answer for your current question.

3. Purposes and legal bases

We process data to:

• sign you in and manage your account;
• generate answers for the quiz you are playing;
• enforce free-tier limits and Premium/Ultra entitlements;
• process subscriptions through Stripe;
• respond to support requests;
• keep the Service secure and reliable and fix bugs.

Processing is based on contract performance, our overriding interest in secure operation, your consent where required, and legal obligations (Swiss FADP; and GDPR where applicable for persons in the EEA/UK).

4. Sharing and processors

• Stripe: payment processing. See Stripe's privacy policy for payment-related data.
• OpenAI: quiz questions are processed through OpenAI's API to generate answers. No personal data is shared with OpenAI beyond the quiz content.
• EmailJS: messages sent through our contact form are delivered via EmailJS.
• Hosting / infrastructure: technical providers as needed to run the Service and send email.

We do not sell your personal information. We only share data as needed to run the Service or when required by law.

5. Transfers abroad

Some providers (e.g. Stripe, OpenAI, EmailJS) may process data outside Switzerland. Where the destination does not provide an adequate level of protection, we use appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) where required.

6. Retention

We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law (e.g. accounting records). Afterwards, data is deleted or anonymized.

7. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may:

• request access to your data;
• request correction of inaccurate data;
• request deletion or restriction of processing;
• object to processing where applicable;
• request data portability where applicable;
• withdraw consent (without affecting prior processing).

To exercise your rights, email quizgpt.help@gmail.com or use the contact form. Manage subscriptions via the account tab in the extension or the Stripe customer portal. Remove local extension data by uninstalling the extension or clearing extension storage.

8. Security

We apply appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data. Absolute security of internet transmission cannot be guaranteed.

9. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy. The current version is always available on this page with an updated date.
